I recently lived in a very small town with very few shopping options. Being a woman of fashion, I bought most of my wardrobe off Ebay and I'm here to share what I've learned.
When buying clothes:
- Pay attention to details. Usually, sellers who give more exacting item descriptions are going to be easier to work with.
- Ask questions. I've never met a seller who wasn't happy to talk about his/her product.
- Know your sizes and measurements. Keep a fabric tape measure around so your know where you are at.
- Ask for more pictures. Most listings only have one picture to save the seller money. I've found sellers to be very helpful at emailing me more pictures if I need them.
When buying shoes:
- Pay attention to details.
- Know if you are narrow or wide.
- Try on a shoe brand at a department store, before you bid. All shoes fit differently. (Example: Steve Madden sizes tend to run a bit snug and you may need a 1/2 size up for that brand.)
When buying intimates:
- Pay attention to details.
- Know your size. Most specialty stores and large department stores with fit you for free.
- Try on your size in the brand before you bid. Everything fits differently by brand. Find your favorite brand and style and then search Ebay for that particular item. It will save you time and money!
Remember to bid the highest you are willing to pay. That way, you'll have no regrets!! Always be a pleasant buyer and usually the seller will reciprocate making your Ebay experience all the more enjoyable!
Good luck!
