Vintage scarves are an upcoming "new" collectible. Once only bought for use, now ladies are buying them to collect. The most sought after are the fabulous Hermes, but sad to say, they are the most reproduced also. It pays to know what you are buying, do a little research, check out the seller. There are unscrupulous sellers who advertise they are selling "authentic" Hermes, but they are reproductions. Another collectible, but usually less expensive, designer is Vera. A designer's name on a scarf isn't the only reason a collector will buy a scarf. Some are bought for the sheer beauty of the piece-for some have beautiful artwork. Then there are the ever so collectible souvenir scarves, from different states and countries. Whichever direction you decide to take, buying vintage scarves can be fun and rewarding.
