Fact #2: Authentic Mitchell & Ness jerseys are NO LONGER soley manufactured in the U.S.A.. They have been manufactured in El Salvador, Korea, Mexico and the Dominican Republic with a few MLB jerseys and jackets still being manufactured in the U.S.A.. The ALL LEATHER NHL M&N jackets were manufactured in China. Mitchell & Ness has also has had some of the newer MLB jerseys manufactured in Taiwan. Recently Mitchell & Ness has also had some NFL & MLB jerseys manufactured in China as well.

Fact #3: If an Ebay auction DOES NOT show close up pictures of the paper tags AND jock tags (the tags sewn on the bottom front of the jersey) chances are they are fakes. Why take a chance?
Fact #4: The plastic bags that AUTHENTIC Mitchell & Ness jerseys come in DO NOT have "Mitchell & Ness" written across them. PRE 2005 AUTHENTIC MITCHELL & NESS JERSEYS come in plastic bags that have a white sticker label affixed to the bottom right corner of the bag OR in the case of jerseys manufactured in 2005 and beyond are in plain plastic with the info on a sticker on the new BURGANDY M&N tags
This tag will always have the stock number, description of the jersey, retail price, Mitchell & Ness and the bar code on it.
99+% of the Mitchell & Ness jerseys we sell WILL BE INSIDE THEIR FACTORY SEALED PLASTIC.

Fact #5: PRE 2005 Authentic Mitchell & Ness jerseys will have EITHER the WHITE & GRAY rectangular paper price tags (OR BOTH) affixed to the jersey. SOME ONLY HAVE ONE OF THESE TAGS(either the white or just the gray). In either case, these tags will ALSO have the stock number, description of the jersey, retail price, "Mitchell & Ness" and the bar code on it.
NOTE: FAKE JERSEYS HAVE A BLANK RECTANGULAR WHITE TAG THAT ONLY HAS A BARCODE & PRICE.

Fact #6: IN ADDITION TO THE RECTANGULAR TAGS, THERE WILL BE AN NBA, MLB or NHL PAPER TAG ALSO AFFIXED TO THE JERSEY.
Mitchell & Ness has not used a NFL league paper tag on their jerseys UNTIL THIS SEASON (sorry we could only place 10 pics in this guide).


Fact #7: MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE THE "jock tags" CLEARLY. BELOW ARE PICTURES OF AUTHENTIC JOCK TAGS THAT MITCHELL & NESS CURRENTLY USE ON MLB, NBA & NFL JERSEYS RESPECTIVELY:

PLEASE NOTE: DEPENDING ON THE YEAR AND PLAYER FOR MLB, NFL and SOME NBA, THERE WILL BE ANOTHER TAG DENOTING THE YEAR AND/OR PLAYER. NHL JERSEYS DO NOT HAVE OUTSIDE JOCK TAGS. THE VINTAGE HOCKEY LOGO AND "MITCHELL & NESS" WILL ALWAYS BE EMBROIDERED ON THE BOTTOM BACK RIGHT HEM OF ALL AUTHENTIC M&N NHL JERSEYS.

MITCHELL & NESS HAS A NEW MLB JOCK TAG THAT HAS BEEN USED ON NEW MLB JERESYS PRODUCED FROM THE END OF 2005 TO PRESENT. NOTE: THE NEW TAG DOESN'T HAVE THE "silky" LOOK OF THE OLDER MLB JOCK TAG AND "MITCHELL & NESS" IS IN RED AND MORE PROMINENT.

JUST IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF MITCHELL & NESS HAS BEGUN TO USE THIS PAPER TAG PICTURED (FRONT & BACK) BELOW:


FACT#8: HOLOGRAMS HAVE ONLY BEEN USED IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS BY MITCHELL & NESS ON PAPER TAGS. HOLOGRAMS MAY BE ABSENT ON OLDER M&N JERSEYS BUT THEIR PAPER TAGS WILL BE AS DESCRIBED AND AS SHOWN ABOVE.

FACT#9: OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS MITCHELL & NESS HAS PRODUCED OVER 1,600 DIFFERNT PLAYERS/ITEMS. A LOT OF WHICH HAVE BEEN "retired" AND ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WE CARRY A LOT OF THEIR "RETIRED" JERSEYS. WHEN WE ARE OUT OF A CERTAIN STYLE & SIZE, THEY ARE GONE FOR GOOD. YOU MAY NOT SEE SOME OF THE JERSEYS WE SELL ON THEIR WEBSITE BECAUSE THEY ARE CURRENTLY RETIRED. WE ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY ONE OF YOUR LAST CHANCES TO GET ANY OF THESE STYLES.

FACT #10: CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF NOT ALL MITCHELL & NESS JERSEYS HAVE SEWN ON NAMES AND NUMBERS. IN ORDER TO BE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE THERE ARE SEVERAL STYLES OF AUTHENTIC M&N JERSEYS THAT HAVE "SCREENED ON" NAMES AND NUMBERS. WE MENTION THIS IN THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE JERSEYS THAT HAVE THAT.

FACT #11: Mitchell & Ness does not manufacture stat jerseys, jerseys with embroidered autographs on the numbers, Quaterbacks, Runningback or Wide Receivers of the Century jerseys or multiple player jerseys.

FACT #12: Mitchell & Ness DOES NOT AND HAS NEVER manufactured jerseys in sizes 50 or 58
