Brighton is a designer of jewelry, hand bags, wallets, shoes, sunglasses, watches and belts. They have now expanded their lines with fragrances that come in beautiful bottles and also Home Decor items. All things femenine (but they also have several lines of mens wallets and money clips). They got their start with a strictly western style design, but in recent years they have really expanded their designs to appeal to everyone.

 I have noticed on ebay some people selling items titled "Diane Brighton" or "Bebe Brighton". Please be aware that these items are not authentic Brighton. There should be no name in front of the word Brighton -- ever. Another way that you can tell if you have an authentic piece is that almost every piece of Brighton (with the exception of earrings) will have either the full Brighton name on it somewhere or a small heart with a large cursive B in the same script as their logo, as seen below.

 Brighton accessories are well made using only genuine leather. And although most are silver plated, you would never know it. I have had pieces for years, worn them many times they do not easily tarnish or fade. They look like solid sterling silver jewelry and they look good Longer than sterling silver.

Brighton rings are solid sterling silver. All posts, french wires, and leverbacks on earrings are solid sterling silver. All other jewelry and ornaments are cast in solid brass or zinc, and then lavishly dipped in pure silver. Since silver has a natural tendency to tarnish and scratch, they add a protective layer of laquer to help prevent these things.
