Guide To Bob The Builder
Bob the Builder is a very popular stop-animation television program that first debuted in the United Kingdom in 2000. It first debuted in the United States on Nick Jr.--the Nickelodeon network for little ones. In 2005, it moved to PBS Kids network.
Bob the Builder focuses on helping children learn positive approaches to problem solving. There's an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. In fact, the catch-phrase tells the whole story: Bob shouts out, "Can we do it?" and the team shouts back, "Yes, we can!"
Several seasons of Bob the Builder are available on DVD. But there's much than DVDs available for avid Bob the Builder fans. A simple Bob the Builder search will turn up merchandise from audio recordings--featuring the music of Elton John--to toys, games and even bedding.
This program is popular the world over, and is broadcast in thirty countries in over seven languages. As a result, a spin-off series was created in 2001, entitled Project: Build It. This series also features Bob, along with his family, as they try to build a new community outside Bobsville. "Project: Build It" is available on DVD and also features an extensive line of educational toys and gear.
