I bought a Griffen Itrip to work with my IPOD Nano 4GB. I purchased the unit on Ebay for $34. After reading reviews on other sites that warned of potential transmission interference and "popping" or "static", I was pleasently suprised to find that the device actually works fairly well. I have used it with my home stereo and in two vehicles. I live in Phoenix Arizona where there are FM transmissions on almost every frequency available. I found that on frequency 87.9, the Itrip is effective everywhere I have traveled. It actually over powers other recievable stations. The only draw back is that at home, I have found that the Itrip must be very close to my stereo reciever (Bose Lifestyles) to work effectively. It does not work well from more than a few feet away. This is a bit of a bummer because I would like to be able to be able to operate the IPOD from a greater range. It is also worth noting that the Itrip does not have a battery. It feeds off the IPOD battery. Without an external power source, battery life is somewhat less than desireable.
I hope this information will help you in selection of the right device to best serve your needs.
