Green vs. White!
As I mentioned before, what comes with your Xbox 360 depends on whether you buy the green or the white box that they are sold in. This guide picks up where the last one left off in telling you whether or not you should go with the green or the white. (Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fit all of this into one guide because of the 10,000 character limit, and had to break it down into a 3 part series).
So if you're still wondering what comes with what, and whether or not you should get the xbox 360 that comes in the white or green box, read on.
Packaging Specifics
An X denotes that something is included, and the "NOT INCLUDED" is self-explanatory. The price column tells you what each individual component costs new if purchased separately. An "N/A" denotes that pricing information was not available on a particular component (most likely because it is not sold separately). Please forgive how horrible the table may look. Its hard to do one writing these guides.
As you can see, the xbox 360 basic version doesn't include quite a few things, and is $100 less than the premium version that does. If you were to buy the basic version of the xbox 360, and pay retail for all the things that comes with the premium version, you'd spend an extra $209.96 making your total price $609.95, which would be anything but a bargain if you could get it for so much less.
Therefore, if you think you will buy at alot of extra stuff later on and it must be brand new, then you might want to consider the premium xbox 360 that comes in a white box. Otherwise, and particularly if you're strapped for cash, you might want to consider the the basic xbox 360 that comes in the green box.
This guide continued...
In my next guide, "Green Xbox 360 or White Xbox 360? Part 3" I conclude by telling you why you may need to go with the green or white xbox 360. For those of you lost, "Green Xbox 360 or White Xbox 360? Part 1" introduced you to the two types of xbox 360 packages you can expect to see in stores.
