Here are a few recipes I have come up
with for delicious coffee and liquor combinations. These can be
tailored to fit your needs- decaffeinated, with nonfat milk or soy,
without garnishes for less fat, etc. Enjoy!!
- Caramel Martini
1 oz caramel schnapps (butterscotch schnapps can be substituted)
2 oz milk
.5 oz vanilla vodka
add all ingredients to shaker with ice, shake, strain and serve. Decorate rim of glass with white sugar and dust with cinamon powder.
- Coffee Chocolate Dessert
3.5 oz slightly soft chocolate ice cream
1 oz coffee liquor
1 ounce vanilla vodka
1.5 oz chocolate syrup
in a blender, mix vanilla vodka and chocolate ice cream, set aside. Mix vanilla ice cream with coffee liquor the same way. Layer vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate ice cream, and so on in a tall parfait glass. Put in freezer for 10 minutes or until firm. Garnish with whipped cream and one chocolate covered espresso bean.
- Hot Chocolate Toddy
2 teaspoons instant hot chocolate mix
1 oz. brewed espresso
1 oz irish creme
1 oz. vanilla or regular vodka
add all ingredients into a 12 ounce beer mug, stir well. Garnish with whipped cream and a small dash of instant hot chocolate mix..
- Peppermint Chocolate Toddy
1 oz. brewed espresso
2 teaspoons instant hot chocolate mix
1 oz peppermint shnapps
1 oz coffee liquor
see instructions for above. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed candy cane bits
- Manic Mudslide
2 oz. brewed espresso
1 oz. coffee liquor
1 oz. vodka
the 'manic' part is the caffeine- as much as 2 cups of black coffee in each drink.
add all ingredients except espresso into a blender with 12 ounces of ice, blend well to avoid lumps. Pour hot espresso over top of drink. Garnish with whipped cream.
