Attention Sprint phone users! Are you missing voice mail, dropping calls, or getting poor reception? Don't panic - there is a simple fix. Stop by your local Sprint store or call customer care at 877-783-1422 to update your PRL. The acronym PRL means preferred roaming list. It's the software in your phone that provides an alternate network when your primary network can not be located by your PCS device. It tells your device which band to function on, or which network to use based on where you are physically. If your device does not have an updated PRL it will cause your device to miss voice mail, drop calls, or receive poor reception. The big question is how often should you update your device? Sprint obtains new updates about quarterly, so be sure to update your device quarterly.
