In the brick and mortar world the 3 keys to a thriving retail business are Location, Location and Location.  On ebay they are Timing, Timing and Timing.  The following information will help you understand and take advantage of the high and low traffic times on ebay.  Here are the basics.  Ebay has a "rush-hour".  It is between 8:00PM and 10:00PM on Sunday.  Friday, Saturday and Monday are also high traffic days.  The slowest time is Late night on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday.  Here is how you can profit by this information whether you are buying or selling on ebay.

If you are selling, you should end your auction on sunday evening around 9:00 PM eastern US time assuming you are in the US.  The same theory applies in whatever country you are from.  The reason I use eastern time is that it's still evening in all of the continental US.  Traffic reports at my store support this and I'm sure most ebayers would agree.  If you have not been ending your auctions at this time, try it.  I think you will see a positive result.  You can also check and see when the power sellers end their auctions.  I think you will find alot of auctions ending at this time.

Buyers can benefit from this knowledge too.  Sunday evening is a great time to get yourself  into a bidding war but not a good time to find an item you want at a bargain price.  Try to find auctions that end at odd times and don't have many visits.  You don't have to stay up all night to win this auction, just place your bid as late as possible on the last day of the auction and chances are good that you won't be outbid due to the low traffic.

I have seen e books and articles that claim you can make money buying and reselling goods on ebay for a profit.  This is not too far fetched.   If  you find an item at a very good price you can turn it around quickly for a nice gain if you create a well timed, eye catching listing  that draws high traffic.  There are other things to consider such as keywords that will draw people to your auction, a good seller reputation, and a refund policy that will give your visitors confidence in you as a seller.  This information is available to you right here on ebay if you are willing to take the time to educate yourself and do some research.

I keep a few good e books in my store that cover this information and more in great detail if you do not want to search around.Visit the HireTechStore
