I thought I would share some tips, which helped me to become a successful Ebay Seller and Power Seller.
Good Selling Tips
- Research, check out what is selling in the categories that interest you and know what sells and what doesn’t so you have an upper hand when you find these items. This is my key, REASEARCH! It is easier to sell what you enjoy and what is selling!
- Always check to see if your item is selling and how much before listing. (If it is not selling for what you want don’t list at this time and incur fee’s for the item).
- If it is worth 5.00 on Ebay in past sales don’t list for more you may be wasting your time and money.
- Take pictures (A picture is worth a thousand words). Multiple pictures for high end used items.
- Gallery picture will get more lookers and it is worth it on key items.
- Do not start description with (You are bidding on). They are looking and you are assuming they are bidding and it can come across as rude.
- Describe as if there were no pictures to avoid multiple questions. Size and condition is a must.
- End description with a Thank you, (Thank you for looking etc.)
- Don’t list for 10.00 when 9.99 can save on fees. Check fees rate chart to see rates on listing fees. It costs .35 cents for 9.99 start price and .60 cents for 10.00 starting price (1 penny will cost you .25 cents extra).
- Don’t list for .99 if you would be mad if it did not go higher.
- Do not charge inflated shipping, as it may not sell, most buyers will pick another seller that has the same item with reasonable shipping. A small handling fee is fine but when you are a lot higher than others on shipping you will get less or not sell and incur fees.
- Offer discounts on shipping on multiple item purchases.
- Try to answer buyer questions A.S.A.P.
- Pack Breakables well, no one wants broken items. Your feedbacks will be affected
- Always email your customer when item is shipped. It gives them a heads up to look for package and lets them know its been shipped already.
- Always remember to treat customers, as you want to be treated.
- An about me page adds a personal touch for customers to trust you.
- Most of all have fun selling!
Thank you for reading my guide and I hope this helps on your success selling on Ebay.
