Perhaps the most interesting gold coin that started to show itself on the markets was the Chinese issues of the Gold Panda. The coin itself lacks any peculiar mark of design, but the wide variety of the issues throughout the years diverted most colelctors to that series and now it is by far considered a much sought after item.
The best stunt the Chinese did was the fact that they changed the design each year, creating a wide range of dedicated collectors and avoiding the trend the British made with their identical Sovereign issues.. This diversification benefited the collectors and the Chinese who sell now their coins at great quantities..
