Are you planning a trip to Disneyland with an autistic child?  If so, go to City Hall as soon as you get in the park and ask for a disability pass.  I had called Disneyland's 800 number before our trip and was not told of this.  Luckily, one of my son's therapists informed me about it after a horrible first day at California Adventure with my son.  He has difficulty waiting in lines (or waiting for anything) and had numerous meltdowns there while waiting to get on rides (sometimes 45 minutes or more).  NO ONE working at the park mentioned this pass to us either.  With the disability pass, we were able to walk through the exits of the rides, show the pass to an attendant, and either immediately get on the ride or wait about 10 minutes.  MUCH better than 30 or 45 plus minutes like the day before!  My son had a blast at Disney thanks to this pass, and so did we.  We were all able to ride with him using the pass (my husband, myself, my two daughters, my nephew, my sister, and my brother-in-law).  I highly recommend it.  My son is 6 years old and diagnosed at age 4 as moderately to severely autistic.  His favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Indiana Jones ride (which he rode twice).  Also, I do not recommend the Autopia ride.  LONG line (even with the disability pass) and so not worth the wait.  HAVE FUN!!!
