Yes the key to selling your item is to go through those extra lengths to take that picture. If it means laying on the ground to get that picture of a fairy in the garden, or climbing a tree to take a picture of a bird house. I became bored with taking pictures for ebay because it always looked I was selling the same item over and over. So I decided to go the extra mile and grab up
some props of all sorts and display them with the actual item I am selling. Sales picked up a lot. Be creative. Place a fishing lure in a taxidermy bass mouth, Stick a knife in a log, put flowers in a vase. Set the table with the dinnerware your selling. I bought this Duck Unlimited Loon for 5.00 and sold it for over 65.00. Think he would of sold for more if he had just been sitting on the bed or something? It makes ebay fun and people like to look at the pictures. I have had many of my pictures placed on web sites and even had one think I was using an actual catalog picture for one of my knives. I proved them wrong. Bend down, climb up, do what ever you have to do to get that picture in its most natural state. It will pay off.
