Glytone Skin Rejunvenation System
Genesis Pharmaceutical States: Glycolic acid is a type of alpha hydroxy acid that is made from sugar cane. It weakens the bonds between cells in the dead outer layer of skin, which helps with exfoliation and speeds up the normal skin shedding process. By helping to remove this dull layer of dead skin cells and therefore revealing the new skin cells underneath, glycolic acid improves the texture of skin, unclogs pores, can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and may aid in the building of collagen and elastin, which help to make skin firmer.
Does it work?
Bottom line is.........you betcha'! And, works well it does. I've been using Glytone Exfoliating Body Wash and Glytone Body Lotion for about two months now and my skin is incredibly soft and more firm! In fact, I was sitting on the couch with my 9 year-old daughter the other day. She placed her hand on my thigh and said, "Mommy, your leg is so soft." I hadn't realized the dramatic difference in the feel of my skin until I felt my daughter's leg and discovered that my thigh felt just as soft as hers! I was so excited, I had my huband close his eyes and feel my leg and my daughter's leg........he had trouble telling which was which.
These products are simply amazing. I'm a runner, so I'm constantly outside. I use sunscreen, but still had quite a few sun and age spots on my forearms and the back of my hands. After using Glytone for the past two months, my skin is now radiant, clear and more firm.
Glytone works, because the level of glycolic acid (free acid value) contained in these products is far more therapeutic than what you will find over the counter or in the drug store. While department store products may boast up to 30% active glycolic acid, up to a third of that can be buffers or fillers. So the therapeutic results of over the counter products are minimal at best.
Glytone on the other hand is a truly agressive, skin resurfacing product. Actual free acid values range from 5.5-20%. Glytone packaging and labeling is direct and to the point. The free acid value of each product is cleary stated on the front of the bottle.
Glytone is available in a variety of products to suit skin care needs ranging from acne, age spots, sun damage, keratosis pilaris (red bumps).
If you're tired of wasting your hard earned money on over the counter products and expensive department store remedies that just don't work, then Glytone is for you. As I have said before, good skin care doesn't come cheap. You might find these products a little pricey, but it's well worth every penny!
As with any perscription strength skin care product, consult your dermatologist before using. Avoid sun exposure and use suncreen when using any product containing glycolic acid.
