- Case is a unique squarish shape and is blue plastic (****1/2 good!)
- ReliOn Ultima is an exclusive product of the Sam's Club and Walmart.
- There's different versions of it, however, one version of the meter looks suspiciously like a Precision Xtra with a different color and different name printed on it. Hmmm, I wonder if it's really a Precision Xtra in disguise? I don't know if the strips are compatible with the Precision Xtra so you may be taking a chance if you buy Precision Xtra strips but I'm guessing they're the same. You're on your own if you try it since I certainly won't guarantee they'll work with it. Maybe someone who's tried it will write in?

The OneTouch Ultra2 is an improvement over the Ultra. The Ultra2 has a metallic Silver with blue trim case, it's very rounded and has a large numeric display. It uses a 1uL (one microliter) sample which is about the size of a pin head and only takes 5 seconds to perform a test. Being 1uL you can test on your forearm but you may have trouble testing in other alternate sites. The Ultra2 has some other features like Breakfast and Dinner averages and other functions. The Ultra2 uses the same OneTouch Ultra test strips that you come to know and love. Overall the Ultra2 is easy to use and a good meter.
10. UltraSmart (1uL, 5 secs) ****_ (4 stars), *
11. Ultra (1uL, 5 secs) ****_ (4 stars), P, @The OneTouch UltraSmart is a really Smart monitor. It has a large black and white graphical display where it can display the reading as well as graph your results and display seemingly endless menus of averages and information. It's basically a diabetic electronic sidekick. You can keep track of when you took insulin shots and when you ate and at what time you tested, etc. If you're challenged by programming a VCR, you may want to opt for the Ultra2 instead but if you need or like these features then this is the smartest meter on the block! It uses a 1uL (one microliter) sample which is about the size of a pin head and only takes 5 seconds to perform a test. Being 1uL you can test on your forearm but you may have trouble testing in other alternate sites. The UltraSmart uses the same OneTouch Ultra test strips that you come to know and love. Overall the UltraSmart is a cool computerized monitor but may not be the easiest to figure out. Really, it has more features than you can figure out which is great if you want to know all that stuff and keep track of it, but not if it's information overload for you.
The OneTouch Ultra is an improvement over the FastTake. Actually, it looks identical to the FastTake except for its darker blue color and different name but it's small yet has the same large numeric display. It is quite an improvement over the FastTake as it only uses a 1uL (one microliter) sample which is about the size of a pin head and only takes 5 seconds to perform a test. Being 1uL you can test on your forearm but you may have trouble testing in other alternate sites. The Ultra uses OneTouch Ultra test strips. Overall the Ultra is easy to use and a good meter.
12. UltraMini (1uL, 5 secs) ****_ (4 stars), P, @
The OneTouch UltraMini is basically a tiny Ultra. It's metallic silver and blue and really small and slim. It tests just like an Ultra with 1uL blood sample size and 5 second reading, but it's no frills, basically you just get a reading and that's all it does. It also comes with a UltraMini tiny lancing device. The UltraMini uses the same OneTouch Ultra test strips that you come to know and love. Really the UltraMini is a good basic tiny meter you can take with you on vacation. This is a new meter so it may not be available yet.
13. Ascensia Breeze 2 (1uL, 5 secs) ****_ (4 stars)
14. InDuo (1uL, 5 secs) ****_ (4 stars)
The OneTouch InDuo is no longer sold but it's still supported with OneTouch Ultra Test Strips. It basically works like an Ultra.
