Fakes purchased.
I've purchased nearly 150 items via eBay. With the exception of two Global chefs knives and one pair of Oakley sunglasses, I've been very satisfied.
Global Knives: I purchased a filet knife and an eight inch chefs knife from a seller in the UK. The knives were fakes, so much so that until I compared them with my other Global knives purchased from a local store, it was obvious they were fakes. By the time I figured it out, the seller had already changed his seller's name...too late for me to pursue a refund.
Oakley Sunglasses: I purchased a pair of "genuine, authentic Oakley sunglasses." The dealer claimed he only does business with Oakley, and does not sell fakes. Since I had been wearing another pair of Oakleys I bought from a local dealership, I compared the ones I bought on eBay. They looked authentic. In the meantime, I ordered a new pair of lens for the new glasses directly from the Oakley company, since they had exactly what I wanted. When I received the lens, I tried to put them in the glasses I bought on eBay...they didn't fit and would not lock in like they should. I tried the new lens on my original frames, and they fit and locked in perfectly. I took them to an Oakley dealer and they agreed my new glasses were fakes. Too late, too bad, I guess.
