Did you know giving away something for free was shared as early as back when Avon and other companies offered free samples and other items with their books some thing even earlier then Avon that could be true.
Giving away something for free can build trust and customer base for any business. It helps in building trust in your products and services. Many major companies do this how many times have you seen magazines offer a free year with the purchase of 2 years this helps build trust and customer base.
Freebies is a good way to have word of mouth spread around because that first person tells there friends and helps build all business customer base.
Holidays is a great time to add that free item to your store it can be as simply as adding free gift wrapping or a birthday or Christmas card to or for your customer.
On request we try and offer free cards if they are sending a gift to someone. It is a nice jester to our customers and they appreciate us for doing it.
Always make sure you can afford what give aways you offer and follow through with sending those give aways out. Remember Trust is important.
We give a way items after a certain amount is spent in our store
and many times when a mother purchases a new dress for their little girl we will add like a headband or pair of socks.
We add to many of our listings that we included this or that free or we do the buy 2 get one free.
On our yogurt makers we add free recipes, customers ordering this love it.
On our clothing we sometimes include how to wash or how to make petticoats puffy customers love it.
