Gios decals have been stuck on all kinds of bicycles to make them look valuable. Generic frames often appear with Gios decals that are definitely not Gios frames. That is dishonest to say the least!

A real Gios will have several unique features. The name "Gios" may appear on the fork crown, bottom bracket, or seat stay caps. Earlier Gios frames may have a Gt logo cut out of the bottom bracket shell and cast into the fork crown. Almost all steel Gios frames have their rear dropouts drilled. This only stopped when they started using sliding "Compact" dropouts.

Some Gios frames have medallions pressed into the fork crown with a Gios logo.

No Gios has ever used a Cinelli Spoiler bottom bracket shell.

Before buying a bicycle that is being sold as a Gios, refer to the Classic Rendezvous website to see what a real one looks like!
