If you are a lover of wet shaving and vintage safety razors, you may be looking for other great items to use and collect. Well I have found one great item that goes well with my fetish for collecting razors from the 40s and 50s.
Old high quality vintage wrist watches from 1930-1970.
Yes, they are truly beautiful and were made with the same precision and dedication to excellence as my razors. If you are a wet shaver you understand the recent trend in returning to the past to find the art of shaving. A past time shared by men the world over. Men in college to men retired are using and collecting these vintage relics that were made at a time when quality meant durability.
To my surprise I have found the watch that is equal to any rare Gillette razor in genuine quality and history. It is the Vulcain Cricket Alarm Watch. It was first introduced in 1947. It was the first successful alarm wrist watch ever made. It sounds like a cricket when the alarm goes off. It will wake you from any nap and you will never miss another meeting when you wear this beauty.
The fun is just like trading and buying razors. These old beauties are well made, working and worth plenty. They are unique, functional and can be passed on to the next generation.
So now I have the bug. I have my Vulcain Crickets, Omegas from the 40s a Rolex from 1930, several Benrus, Elgin, Bulova and other vintage watches for sale in my EBay store. I wear a different watch every day. These old watches have character. They don't just tell time from a battery. You have to interact with them. Yes, you have to treat them as good friends.
Give watch collecting a try and I am sure you will be hooked. For more info, search vintage mens watches or pick a brand name and do a search . You will be amazed at what you find.
