Here is a form letter I created to put a fire under non-paying bidders.  I have found it to be very successful in
instigating payment, so I thought I would share it with other sellers.  Since I’ve started using it, about a year
now, I’ve only had one buyer not complete their purchase.  I think compassion and a willingness to work with a
customer goes a long way in building their confidence.  There are always going to be dead-beat bidders, but
kindness is an awesome tool.

Here is the form letter:

      Hello,
               It has been 4 days since you won our item with BUY IT NOW or LIVE AUCTION.  We have
               not received payment from you as yet. We just wanted to let you know that if you can't make
               payment we understand, however, we automatically file a NON PAYING BIDDER FORM
               on the 7th day of non payment.  We do this to recoup the fees we have already paid ebay for
               this sale. We would appreciate it if you made payment, but understand that finances can change
               quickly, and thus if you can't there is no hard feelings. Please let us know either way.

I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.  I generally send it on the 4th or 5th day of non payment.
