So many times I see collectable baskets in prime condition without any bids or even takers.  Many times I will watch an item for the auction period of time to see what the basket sells for at the end.  Many times the baskets remain unsold.  I would recommend to any seller when considering placing any well known collectable baskets up for bidding to do some research first.  Look to see how many other similar baskets are out there and what the sold price is at the end of the auction.  Depending on what you want for your item, you may not want to sell.  Pricing a collectable basket high is the biggest draw back to someone placing a bid.  Let's face it, people come to E-Bay to not only find the hard to find, but also to find a bargain.  Price your item to sell, placing too many stipulations within an auction is a draw back to many bidders.  For example, a basket starting at .99 but a reserve price of $100 is going to turn bidders off and they will move on.  Bidding is about strategy.  Get your bidders to start a bidding war.  Describe your item accurately and with as much detail as you can.  Be creative, let potential buyers know uses for the collectable basket in question.  A good example of this would be, "here is a pretty little round basket 6 inches by 6 inches with a swinging handle perfect for cotton balls in the bathroom or place chocolates in it for a gift for your childs teacher."  Make bidders salivate over the possibilities that your product may have.  Price it right, take the risk, start your collectable basket at a reasonable price if you are truly wanting to sell.  Entice your bidders to keep them bidding and you will find not only a happy buyer, but you will be a happy seller for the return profit.  Make your shipping and handling accurate and reasonable.  Charging $20 for shipping and handling on a basket that doesn't even weigh 2lbs is not ethical.  And also is against E-Bay rules.  Following the above tips you should have a great selling experience with happy buyers.
