Tip #1. Eliminate the phrase 'just for now.' One of the biggest reasons that paper quickly gets out of hand is that it is put in a pile, 'just for now.' That 'temporary' place often turns into a permanent place. The paper piles grow and grow until they are completely out of control. When you get a piece of paper, take immediate action. Do it (take action on it), Delay it (file it in your filing system or your Tickler file system), Delegate it (give it to someone else to take care of it), or Dump it (over 80% of the paper we get on a daily basis can be recycled immediately.)
