When will the USA Job Lay Offs and Unemployment Rates Go Down in America? Will Americans Find Any Economic Relief in These Hard Economic Times that we are Facing?
Let me tell you "how eBay has changed my life" and took me from having no income and on the verge of having to collect US Government Assistance (welfare) to being
an eBay Powerseller in less than 1 year. It happened to me and it can happen to you too!

Do to the bad economy in America, I have seen a big rise in unemployment rates and it is so alarming to me. I feel so bad for so many people who have lost their jobs because I have been in their shoes many times before. If you are one of the millions of Americans who have been unemployed from General Motors Company GM or any of the other countless of factory jobs, etc across America---I want to tell you that I am very sorry for what you are going through. I have been there. Try to take this time off from work to reflect on what type of new career that you want to get into that will make you happy and is something that you will enjoy doing.
***HERE IS MY STORY ABOUT BEING LAID OFF FROM WORK MANY TIMES***
My name is Tonya and I am 32 years old and from Stafford, Virginia which is near Fredericksburg Virginia, Arlington Virginia, and Washington DC. I used to live in southern West Virginia in a small coal mining town called Welch for the majority of my life. Growing up in a small town, I know what it is like to lose a job. I used to be a Radio Disc Jocky when I was 17 years old and I got laid off from that job after 3 and a half years working there. I was young and so devestated by the heart wrenching news! I felt as if my whole life crumbled before me and there was no end in sight! I had no college education--so what was I going to do now? I had just bought a new 1996 Chevrolet S 10 Truck that I had to pay for or I would lose my only vehicle to get around in!
After around 9 months of collecting unemployment benefits, I found a full-time job doing telemarketing for United Telesis in Bluefield West Virginia. At United Telesis, we sold cell phone service and long distance phone service. That job lasted only 8 months or so and then I was faced with yet another lay off. Talk about my bad luck! Then, I lucked up and I got a full-time job at Turner Vision C Band Satellite Company in Bluefield West Virginia. That job lasted for around a year and a half until I went through a 3rd lay off! Can you believe my string of bad luck?
Luckily, I was offered a job doing telemarketing with Echostar Dish Network in Bluefield West Virginia and I accepted. After 8 months of working there and no--it was not another lay off like you may be thinking, but I actually found my dream job back in Radio Broadcasting with Wisdom Media Group in Bluefield West Virginia. So, I resigned from Dish Network and took my new position as a Radio Board Operator for Wisdom Radio. After 8 months of working there...guess what happened? LOL! You got it right this time! Another lay off!!!!
My dad used to crack jokes about me and say that every job that I worked at was always going to have a big lay off because they had hired me!!! LOL!!! I can laugh at it all now. Well, after this final lay off, I applied for another Radio Station Job at WELC 102.9 FM in Welch West Virginia and thanks to God that I got the job! The owners were acutally looking for someone who had a college degree in Radio Broadcasting and I did not have one. They hire me anyway because I had a lot of experience in Radio which was a plus for me. I did that job for around 2 years or so and then my aunt got sick all of a sudden and needed someone to stay with her full-time--so I decided to resign from WELC 102.9 FM in Welch and stay with her for a while to take care of her.
I was at home with my aunt 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and I was not able to work outside of the home...so that became a little frustrating--especially when we only lived on a limited income each month of less than $1000 a month. Times were very hard for us--especially at the end of the month. My aunt's medicine was well over $300 a month, plus other health care expenses each month--so I am sure you can understand where I am coming from.
I wanted to make extra money so badly to help us, but I did not know where or how to do it from home, so I talked to a friend of mine about it and she mentioned that I should start on eBay selling a few items from around the house that I no longer needed to make a little extra money and I did! I knew nothing about selling online, but it was my only chance at making extra money--so I went full throttle ahead into my new eBay selling adventure!
I tried very hard to make sales on eBay. At times, I felt like giving up because I was not making good sales each month like I had hoped for, so I talked with other eBay sellers and asked them for help and eBay selling advice. I learned alot from them! I also learned alot from talking to others on eBay Community Boards and eBay Blog. It was trial and error for me in the beginning. I actually lost some money selling on eBay in the beginning, but those losses were actually blessings in disguise because they taught me how to sell on eBay the right way without big losses in the future.
After selling items from around my home and getting familiar with eBay stores--I eventually taught myself how to design eBay Store Logos with Microsoft Paint which later progressed to where I was able to design entire eBay stores and eventually websites. Radio Broadcasting used to be my greatest passion in life--but NOW I have a new love and passion--GRAPHIC DESIGN! I was so excited to be designing eBay stores and helping others to get started selling on eBay. My job now is so much more rewarding.
After my aunt passed away a few months later of started on eBay, I was faced with the decision to go back into the work force because eBay was only a part-time job for me and with no college education--the jobs available to me was very slim. I wanted to see if eBay could become my full-time job at home--so I worked diligently from morning until night. To my excitement--after 3 months of putting 8 or more hours a day into selling on eBay--I became an eBay Powerseller!!! I was thrillled! I finally knew that it was possible to make eBay my full-time job at home!!!
So I just want to tell you all who may be going through similiar situations like I did when I got laid off from work--to never give up hope! Just like I have heard so many Christians say to me..."when God closes one door, another door will be opened". I truly believe in this because it happened to me from where I had went through so many lay offs at work in the past and then when when I started selling on eBay--my whole life was changed for the better!
Please visit my eBay Store and get a FREE Copy of my book about selling on eBay
at the main bottom on my EBAY HOME PAGE. There is no obligation to you at all.
I look forward to helping you. Have a blessed day. New and better things are coming you way! Do not give up hope and keep pressing on. When life throws us a trial to go through--keep going and soon you will see light at the end of the tunnel just like I did!
Sincerely,
Tonya Becker-Haddadeen

P.S. If you become an eBay Powerseller, you will become eligible for many good health care plans to choose from through eBay. Choosing a health care plan is optional, but at least you will not have to do without health insurance. Plus, there are many private health insurance companies for business owners as well that you can check out as well. For example, whomever you buy your car and home insurance from will more than likely also offer health insurance plans for business owners.
