Ok I have written a couple reviews about german paratrooper helmets and I feel it is a  MUST to add this and I do hope you pass it along to EVERYONE you know for I can not take what I am seeing any longer. About every week on ebay a "original" paratrooper helmet pops up for sale with a certificte of authenticity that its real.. Whats funny is if you look at it close which is very hard as everything is blocked out its from the same ones who is running the auction...Hmmm.... why is that?  Also there never seem to be any markings in the shell due to the camo paint being painted on the inside. That is BULL. ALL paratrooper shells are marked and YES even some of the new repos but when you can not see any markings you should be able to feel them some where. People please do research and ASK QUESTIONS. All the items are sold as is no refunds so hello right there is the BIG RED FLAG everyone always asks about. If its so original and real then there should be no problem offering a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE for it or having someone ELSE write a guarantee.  The classic markings that are known fakes are CKL71 with the serial number 3892... Also ET68's have hit the market now and why they have different serial numbers the ET and the 68 have a seperation to them.... ET 68  when it whould be ET68  you can take my words for whatever. Yes I do restore german helmets and have done several paras and all went as such. I NEVER sell my stuff as original. The shells are original as sometimes the inside is as well but I will then re do the outside and tell people the outside is re done by me and not POST WAR done as many people say...SO again please pass this along and be careful and educate your self before dumping your hard earned money for a fake. We all now nowadays money is getting just as scarce as original paratrooper helmets so be careful. :)

Also when buying paras be leary of this:  If you see the shell isnt stamped "due to camo paint or whatever the excuse it" and they say oh but it is a 68 due to the liner, watch out, because the liners are very easy to ink stamp any size you want!!!!!!!
