Ok i have been told and have been seeing a ton of "Original" Ground dug rusted out german paratrooper helmets being turned up lately.. I feel why there are some "legit"ones around its funny how there are so many "paratrooper helmets turning up... HMMMMMM...... well guess what i have been told and seen they are fakes... They all seem to be coming out of Russia... Let me tell you they are probably coming out of someones back yard... It is not hard to take a shell and bury it in the ground and leave it there for oh say a few months (or during a harsh winter) and then diggin it up and Oh wow a reusted out helmet. It seems that since everyone is on to the fakes and are getting wise well now the fakers had to resort to other levels so the go with the ground dug ones... what a crock.. im sorry but i just dont believe it.... if you do not think i am right then check ebay every day or solike i do and you should find one up there Found in russia or found in the battlefield... Bla bla bla..... Listen... there are surely some legit pieces and ground dug items but to find all these para shells is crazy. Please look it over very closely... look and see if the rust is old rust not newer orangish or reddish color.. Look as there should be some holes pin holes cracks..etc.... there should be pretty much no traces of paint... espicially "camo" paint that sticks out like a sore thumb... Come on people the fakers are just trying out new tactics till they get caught... Hopefully you pass this along and help your fellow collectors keep this hobby clean and "rust free". Thanks and happy ebaying..
