After 3 Canon photo printers and 1000's of of pictures I would always recommend the use of  Genuine Canon photo paper and inks with a Canon printer. I have tried several other types of paper and inks but nothing stands up over time. Most other look good coming right out of the printer but a year down the road will start to fade. Other papers and inks promise the same results and quality but if it does not say Canon on it I have always been dissapointed.
