Ever wonder why people are so willing to pay so much for handbags and accessories? Ever wonder how the prices are arrived at? Ever wonder how to tell if a handbag or accessory is genuine or authentic? Well, unless you are quite an expert, sometimes it is very hard to tell. I've been trying to research; From what I've been reading, however, if you get an item with authentication papers and tags, you can be pretty sure that it is authentic. Sometimes attached tags come off and sometimes papers get lost. Sometimes an item may be used and the owner wants to sell it. In these cases, there's not much you can do except inspect the purse looking for other clues. One of the main things to look for would be the logo of the manufacturer, such as Luis Vuittan, Chanel, Coach, etc.
There are a lot of knock-offs out there that you can buy if you cannot afford an original. These cost much less but give you the illusion of the same quality and glamor. But even these can vary in quality and price, depending on where they came from.
Now let's talk about quality, value and price. Items that have all their price tags, tags, logos, cards or papers of authencity, (and in some cases, the original receipt), dust case, etc., obviously can carry a larger price tag. The more authentic-proven the item is, the more it'll cost the consumer.
Then there are the different brands. Some brands cost more than other. The price tag is more dependent on the reputation of the designer when all other things are equal. You have low-end designers and high-end designers. Then you have those in the middle.
Gucci is a name that I remember from so far back that I can't remember not remembering it. Gucci began establishing itself as a worldwide presence in 1953. The Gucci Jackie-O handbags has been in Vogue since the mid-1960's. Now you can accessorize yourself with these designer bags that have made such an impact in Hollywood.
