This is a response to the review issued by aero404ec on Russian Gas Mask.

These are the points I would like to address.

1. First of all it is not right to tell people not to purchase Russian Gas Mask. Some Russian Gas Mask do protect against NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) threats.

2. Second, is aero404ec certified to say that Russian Gas Mask doesn’t work? Has he been able to run test on each Russian Gas Mask under NBC conditions? I would say no, I don’t think he would have access to Nuclear, Biological or Chemical agents to be able to fully test the Russian or in this case any gas mask issued by any government agency.
3. Third, how do you figure that the M40/M45 Gas Mask is any better? The M40 provides respiratory, eye, and face protection against chemical and biological agents. Just like the Russian NBC Mask and many other government issued NBC masks.

4. However, where agents that cause harm through contact or penetration of the skin occurs, such as blister agent or nerve agent, a gas mask alone is not sufficient protection, and full protective clothing must be worn in addition, to protect from the atmosphere. For reasons of civil defense and personal protection, individuals often purchase gas masks in the belief that they prevent against the harmful effects of an attack with nuclear, biological, or chemical (NBC) agents; this is not the case, as gas masks protect only against respiratory absorption of the NBC. Whilst most military gas masks are designed to be capable of protection against spectrum of NBC agents. The wearer must also have an NBC suit for full protection.
5. This brings me to the point that information you have provided people is incorrect and favors one mask more than the other, although all types of NBC masks including the Russian masks will not fully protect without and NBC body suit.
6. As a business man I have to say that your review is more of an advertisement to have better sales of a specific gas mask. An example would be like Pepsi saying the Coca Cola is bad for your health and that Pepsi is healthier for you. Which we all know that soda is bad for your health no matter what company makes it.

FYI:
An NBC suit is a type of protective suit giving protection inclusively against particle radiation, biological and chemical agents, though depending on the design may or may not give protection against radiation. NBC stands for nuclear, biological, and chemical. It is a term used in the armed forces and in health and safety, mostly in the context of WMD cleanup in overseas conflict or protection of emergency services during the response to a terrorist attack, though there are civilian and common-use applications.
In military operations, NBC suits are intended to be worn continuously for up to several days. Most are made of impermeable material such as rubber, but some incorporate a filter into their constituent material, allowing air, sweat and condensation to slowly pass through (an example is the Canadian military NBC suit).
