This is the second GPS I've owned personnally, but I also have experience with the one built in to my wife's Ford Escape and the Hertz Never Lost systems. Of the 4 systems, I think this one is far superior. The software interface is very intuitive. Entering a destination is very simple and fast. My wife's built in system has 12 different CDs that you have to use if you are traveling around the country for various states and if you have one in, you can't use the CD player - you have to use the 6 disc changer under the seat. When I use the Hertz systems, I can never figure out how to look up a location by name because there are too many sub menus. With the Nuvi, you just select "Spell Name" and start typing. The Nuvi is also small enough that if I don't want to leave it in the car when I reach the destination, I can disconnect it from the mount, fold down the antenna and put it in my pocket. The biggest gripe I've heard is about it is that you can not enter way point (multiple destinations). That's not quite accurate. If I have two places to go, I enter the last one first and then enter another point as a stopover destination. And as quickly as you can enter addresses, I can't imagine buying a bigger bulkier GPS just so I could enter 10 destinations before I leave the house. Bottom line - the Nuvi 350 is a great system that quickly starts up, is intuitive to use and is a great value.
