Here are a few tips I've gleaned by helping several divorced friends find a new romantic interest.

1. Do a wardrobe check. many married women don't stay as current with the fashion scene as their single counterparts. They therefore look older than they actually are. Invest in some low rise jeans, and pair them with a long shirt if coverage is an issue. Flip flops are considered sexy these days!

2. Find a new hobby. There are all sorts of things to do that will allow you to get your daily recommended allowance of exercise while scoping out men. Try the local bicycle club, take a gun safety class, or learn to swim or kayak. See what's hot in your area. People are extremely willing to teach beginners who have a good attitude towards learning. Karate classes are full of men of all ages!

3. Lose the glasses and short haircut, if possible. I find the friends with long hair and contact lenses have more luck instigating that initial contact, even if it fizzles later. If it's a numbers game, the more swings, the more likelihood of a home run!

4. Investigate continuing education opportunities at work or your local community college. The more time you spend outside your home, the more chance you have of meeting someone!

5. Don't take any of these tips if they are fundamentally opposed to your vision of yourself. When you find him, you wnat him to love you, not a false image. The best way to attract a mate is to be the very best you possible!
