With the new new Gallery Plus feature you will be able to let your item stand out even more. I found out that picture no.1 will be the selected picture for the gallery plus. I place my close up here and my standard  gallery picture as picture no.2. That way, when you click on my gallery picture it will enlarge with yet another selected picture to give (2) view of the item without opening up the page. This is an excellent way to show different features that could attract more buyers.
