The photos above are a gathering of actual authentic Packs Ive found, there isnt really many fakers or generic versions of this pack in itself and they usually are kinda expensive though I like mine alot compaired to the older plastic framed versions we used to be issued. This pack has tons of space from top to bottom and I personally think its alot better for long distance marching than the old packs were as this kinda is built for comfort in my oppinion. As you can see by the photo's they have the sewn in NSN number tag as well as the EGA logo. The waist strap is thick padded and fits well, everything has the ability to be tightened down and stowed away. You load from the top with a flap to cover your gear and then the top which come over to protect the gear inside. The top which comes over securely has molle attachable straps on the top and a zipper compartment for extra items as well. The 3 day assault pack can be attacked to the outside front of the pack shown for extra space packing, these arent sold on the civilian market usually as for the Marine Corps most all of this gear is pretty much new to the Service.  The pack bears the small EGA symbols as always in issued gear as pictured below:

The closest ive seen to a generic that is offered is somthing like what is pictured below:

As you can see these look nothing like the standard issue pack.
