1. In recent times,  MOST all of our jewelry purchases were made  in local jewelry stores, but these days it can be done --ONLINE
The Internet is now  and has been available for the purchase of jewelry, although some still prefer buying it from a local store.
Local stores make great sales in jewelry but the INTERNET is another fast growing medium.
Those that cannot afford to have a physical - mortar and brick store-can now make money by selling jewelry items online and in ebay Stores.

2. This is also another avenue for the brick and mortar physical stores to gain customers and increase sales. I  MYSELF--,and this is just my personal opinion, find that I (in my online ebay jewelry store )storeGEMSTONE AND DIAMOND JEWELRY/jewelryjug
that the  Internet appears to be taking charge because of the prices that shoppers can get with  ONLINE PURCHASING.  The quality is sometimes better or equal to what you find in the retail market, another words, If someone goes to their local jewelry store to look for a diamond-cocktail ring, and then they go online to search for one, they could  find almost the same ring at a much Lower Price,with-- Great Customer Service, 100% money back (less shipping) GUARANTEE!!

4.  Diamonds are measured in Carat Weight.
One carat weighs 200 milligrams.  On the color grading scale, D, E, and F
mean that the diamond has no color. G, H,
and I mean     means that it has very little color. J, K,
and L means that the diamond has a slight
yellow color   --------=== -- ------   . P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, and X
means that the diamond is a darker shade
of yellow. Z means that the diamond has a
fancy color – other than white or yellow.

On the color grading scale, D is the most
valuable, and X is the least valuable –
however diamonds that get a Z rating are
the rarest and most expensive diamonds
in the world.
--ALSO remember that although there are simple diamond buying guides, there SHOULD  be one that should include SHADES of that specific color grading.  Also grading is in the EYE OF WHO EVER IS DOING THE GRADING AND ALSO THAT HOLDS TRUE FOR FOR CLARITY.Clarity is an important aspect of a diamond, and it is important to know how to grade the clarity of a diamond before you buy one It is  quite easy to to learn how to grade the clarity of a diamond.  There are basically two things that you must understand: DIAMONDS with visual inclusions and blemishes, and those that are "eye clean" meaning that there are no inclusions  or blemishes-that can be seen with the naked eye.  From there. the clarity of a diamond is further broken down into subcategories. Other grades are VVS1 and VVS2, which means that the diamonds are very, very slightly imperfect:: VS1 AND VS2, meaning the diamonds are very slightly imperfect: SI-1 and SI-2 means that the diamonds are slightly imperfect.  When looking at a CLUSTER STYLE RING- you should see clarity and color with more than one grading and , as not all diamonds are equal.  Many people mistakenly think that DIAMOND CLARITY refers to how clear a diamond is.  This is not so,as clarity actually refers to the internal and external imperfections of a diamond.  The best diamonds,  of course get a grade of FL or IF---which is Flawless or Internally flawless.--meaning that it is perfect..  A grade of I-1-2-3 means that the diamond is imperfect, with a grade of  I-3 being the lesser grade.

DIAMONDS ARE NOT BRANDIBLE  because they simply cannot be "BRANDED."  even though there are different cuts, different grades, and different values that are placed on every diamond in existence: No diamond is any specific brand--just as gold is not a specific brand and that means it's not brandible .

 5. The care and cleaning of a diamond is very important to the look of your diamond  jewelry.  You should take your diamond jewelry to a jeweler once a year.  Have him, her, check the mountings and prongs that hold your diamonds in place, and repair, as this will prevent any diamonds from falling outof it's setting and becoming lost forever.---Want to keep that Brilliance and Shine?   Diamonds require cleaning so that the maximum  amounts of light can refract fiery brilliance.  Rember that all that really takes is a few minutes and a little care so that to keep that diamond as fiery as the day that you first saw it. You can use a small SOFT brush such as an eyebrow or lipstick brush and soap and water to clean your jewelry.  Simply make a bowl of warm sudsy water with a mild detergent and place your your pieces in the mixture.  Soak a few minutes and brush the diamonds with the soft bristles while they are in the suds.  Make certain that you rinse completely  and clear off the suds.I like to use a small kitchen strainer such as a tea strainer to  to contain them while rinsing them with WARM water.  Use a lint free cloth or a jewelry cleaning cloth to pat them dry.

-- The same goes for gemstones with diamonds  With gemstones please refer to that specific gemstone

for cleaning!.pink sapphire, kunzite and diamond ring

6. For gemstone jewelry--I can only say this--many gemstones are readily available throughout ebay. Such as amethyst. citrine, etc. However-when I started collecting gemstones, my eyes would go to the Collector gemstones and that's where I am today.  I will be creating jewelry with hard to find gemstones -and that's where the DIAMOND SEMI MOUNT COMES IN..  first --on a diamond semi mount GOLD WEIGHT MATTERS--it matters because even if you have nice diamonds in the setting, if the gold weight is skimpy or it is not finished inside somewhat, it's going to be uncomfortable and it just will not become your favorite ring.  If you have gemstones like I do, then the possibility of making your own jewelry is endless.  If you put a collector gemstone in it,all the better.  If you put a citrine, garnet, or amethyst in it--it will be beautiful and you could then sell it and make a little profit.

This diamond semi mount holds 9x11 oval stone--make your own jewelry is another option that you have.  when looking for diamond semi mounts - remember that there are so many reputable and honest sellers on ebay that have wonderful gemstones to put in any semimount.

7.COLLECTABLE GEMSTONE JEWELRY--I STARTED COLLECTION RARE OR SOON TO BE RARE GEMSTONES ALONG TIME AGO..What makes a gemstone rare is the availabilty.      --Amethyst is a beautiful gemstone however, it can be aquired many places in the world.  Take for instance the Paraiba Apatite Gemstone-The mines are getting ready to close, lighter and included material-in smaller ctw is still coming out of the mines but from past experiences with gemstones, I would then think that the mine is about to close permantely.  A one source gemstone and that makes all the difference in the price per CT and now anything over .50ct is considered rare.

Gem quality paraiba apatite and diamond ring  paraiba apatite gemstone ring with diamonds                                          Another rare gemstone that every is and was actively trying to purchase before it disapeared  is Green Andesine Labradorite.  Red and Green Andesine  Labradorite is a relatively new gemstone (2002) and right now the green andesine is is almost depleted and is also a one source gemstone.  When it's gone it's gone!

rare andesine labradorite and diamond ring

I just have to say this about yellow labradorite.  Red and Green is andesine however yellow labradorite is not ANDESINE labradorite, although some folks think that it is. yellow labradorite in itself is rare and beautiful and sooo collectable, that it does not matter that is not andesine.yellow labradorite and diamond accent ring

collectable green andesine labradorite and diamond ring

I am by no means an EXPERT on diamonds or gemstone jewelry & I suppose I just fumble along like everyone else because jemstones and diamonds are my passion. Thank you so much for reading this, it's not a novel - it's a guide with information that anyone can refer too.
