If you don't live near Stonehenge, try Labyrinths: Ahh! Visit a stone walking circle! Great for a cool fall day walk! Check out local ones on the web, they're sometimes found at private residences (so prearrange your walk) and some have been added to monasteries or shrine sites. A nice place to bring the kids in any season to contemplate the stones and plant life. Mazes: Every farm has them after harvest from the tiniest local place to some big regional locations. Fun Park Fright Nights, Zoos & Museums: For every age, from the youngest at the zoos & museums to Fright Nights for teens/adults. Lit Pumpkin Walks: there's a small town in southern New Hampshire that offers one of these every year and it's as big as a state fair for drawing crowds. Beautiful way to take in the fall at night. Tour your own area neighborhoods and I bet you'll find the same kind of special night treat. Malls, Schools: for supervised candy giving, you can't beat these. Apple Picking & Pumpkin Farms: try picking up that 20-pounder dressed like Dorothy (and her little dog too)!
