It is remarkable that the grading service named GEC - Grade Evaluation Company is so lucky that the only coins submitted to them are MS67 coins. If you believe that, I have some swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you.
I challenge you to find a coin on ebay, graded by the so called Grade Evaluation Company, that has not been graded as an MS67. I am an old country boy, but I am not foolish enough to actually believe their grading when the only grade they issue is MS67. A recent search of Peace Dollars showed that virtually all of the graded MS67 Peace Dollars were graded by the Grade Evaluation Company. BEWARE.
Unfortunately I see many inexperienced bidders bidding on their coins. I would encourage the e-bay bidders who have purchased coins graded by the Grade Evaluation Company to write guides giving other e-bayers their opinion of GEC grading. Particularly if they have had the coins regraded by PCGS, NGC, or ANACS. Based on the pictures provided of GEC graded coins, it appears that most of their so called MS67 coins would be EF-45 to AU-50 coins if graded by PCGS, NGC, or ANACS.
Many of the pictures of GEC graded coins are a little fuzzy, that makes it difficult to see the detail on the hairlines and breast features. It is particularly dangerous to bid on rare date high dollar coins with GEC graded coins.
