Yes there is a literal reward for such a specie!

Beginning in 2007 the mint will be releasing the 'Presidential' dollar coins for circulation. Also the 'Sacagawea' golden dollars will be made coincidenly with the president dollars.

Really the interest with most of you eBayers are the error coins.  ...in 2000 the error of great interest were the '50 State quarters' design on the Sacagawea coin planchet.  in 2007 its the 'GODless' Washington dollars. 

Well with so many different coins and materials the 'human runned' mint has to manage, something is bound to go wrong.  So whilst the scramble for the ie 'smooth edge' blank edge' or 'GODless' presidential coins continues to fill collections, we as collectors of errors may at some point find say a Sacagawea dollar with edge lettering intended for the Presidential coins.

Already the boys at PCGS has stated a reward of $10000 for the first to have graded the Sacagawea Dollar with Presidential coin edge lettering.  (not that it could be done after-mint... possibly why its being offered by the nations top coin authenciating company) They also are ante-ing up $2500 for the blank planchet with edge lettering. 

I personally set my own limits for the acquisition of the Sacagawea / Presidential reverse dollar coin, or vice-versa.   Also for the possibility of a ↑↑ or ↑→ rotation error coin.
