Want to know the secret behind the most successful sellers on eBay? It isn't price. It isn't even the item necessarily. It is customer service.

Going the extra mile for your customers is really paying attention to the details. That makes the difference between the seller who just sells and the seller who SELLS!

What does it cost you to put a thank you note into the shipping box? Is it really worth the quibble with a customer over 50 cents over so on combined shipping?  If you can't get something out on the day the customer wants you to do it, do you lie to them just to get the sale and then disappoint them?

 

Put yourself in your customers place and treat them the way you would like to be treated.

Make your customer feel special. When you make them feel special they remember you. You get added to their favorite sellers list. They look to your auctions first to see if you have what they need. They contact you to see if you will list something for them rather than just  browse on eBay for it.

 

Make your customers - your repeat customers. Not just someone you sold something to sometime or other.

I like to give my repeat customers extras that keeps them coming back. I occasionally add extra surprises at no cost to them. Maybe it is gift wrapping for free. Maybe it is a generous sample of a new product.

They think of my auctions for gourmet bakery items when they want to send gifts. They know my service is reliable, convenient, and always to a standard they can trust. Make sure you can say this about yours too whether you sell artwork or zoo supplies.
