2 Years ago, I had bought a Gateway digital camera similar to this but it was only 5.0MP. I had received this one directly from the company Gateway after several attempts of replacing my defective one. This one was tested and only used for about a week. I guess this camera is not defective. It has been nothing but perfect. I had no problems with this camera since I got it. It has a sleek silver finish design to it. It has a great crystal clear focus. It doesnt do bad taking pictures at night with the flash, but it will tend to focus on objects closer up rather than far away. It also has a timer, that is great, and a I love the video camcorder part of it., record lots of video and put it on your computer. PERFECT!! The battery life on it is great, and the charger charges fast. Its too bad, in the mean time I got a new Canon camera and Im happier with that one. After 2 years, Im pulling this one out of the box and selling it to someome on ebay/ Its just collecting dust and needs a home. Good luck if you bid on it and  congrats to the winning bidder!!
