GARMIN GOLF LOGIX

Garmin is one of the most respected companies in the world when it comes to GPS.  They are a pioneer in the field and are responsible for the safety of our troops throughout the world. 

Several years ago, Garmin began marketing their GolfLogix hand held GPS systems to golfers seeking alternatives to hand held laser range finders.  There are other manufacturers with Sky Caddie being another major GPS manufacturer.

On e-Bay, there are sales of Garmin GolfLogix units with a price range beginning at $169.99 (Buy it Now) to over $349.99.  To most folks, the low end price appears to be a great deal.  Sellers are stating that these units are unopened, new in box and not refurbished.  Ninety nine point nine percent are as stated and include an actual photo of the package and product being auctioned.

Just one major difference.  The units that are being sold/auctioned in the Green cases are the older or last years models.  There is nothing wrong with these units.  Just read the entire package offering and the features of the old units with the new units to make sure you are getting what you want.

Incidently, why wold you want to pay anything like the $349.99 price when you can go directly to the Garmin website and purchase the new model for $299.95?  If you are not sure whether or not you are getting the new or old model, remember:  The old model is Green and the new model is BLACK (see photo).

Make sure you review each GPS' features and capabilities.  One major consideration is whether the unit is weatherproof.  The Garmin models are indeed waterproof.  Just like a golfer carrying an umbrella with rain in the forecast.
