Hi collectors.  This is classictoyfan1985 here, and I am bringing to you my first guide.  Since I am a pretty good "expert" on the 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe toy line, that will be the theme for my first guide.  Starting with wave one, I will go through a "figure by figure" analysis and tell you which ones I think are great sellers, OK sellers and ones you can't get rid of.

Wave One:

Snake Eyes w/ Timber

White wolf version: Good Seller

Black wolf version: Excellent Seller

Flint: Great Seller

Cobra Officer: OK Seller

Cobra Commander (hood): Not a good seller; can still find on shelves

Storm Shadow (good): Good Seller

Wave Two:

Beachhead: OK Seller

Lady Jaye: OK Seller

Buzzer: OK Seller

Serpentor: Decent Seller

Cobra Trooper: Decent if you are looking for army building...

Wave Three:

Firefly: Used to be Great, but is starting to pop up on shelves again...

Red Ninja: OK Seller, better for army builders

Sgt Stalker (green): Not the best seller in my opinion

Sgt. Stalker (yellow): This figure is RED HOT!

Shipwreck: The only variant that seems to be valuable in the book is the Shark Tattoo one.

Zartan: Good seller, especially "without Color Changing Face"

Wave Four:

Cobra Commander (helmet): Better than the wave one...

Air Trooper: Like the other "soldiers", only reason to buy in bulk is for army builders.  OK seller anyway.

Roadblock: Pretty good seller, don't see 'em in stores often...

Gung-Ho: Great Seller, maybe have only seen two in my local stores.  The brand new variant is red hot right now!

Scarlett: Another nice seller, never seen her on shelves.  Had to get mine from an ordered factory case...

Destro: Good seller

Duke: Nice Seller

Storm Shadow (bad): Excellent Seller

Wave Five:

Snake Eyes: Great seller in fans' opinion.  This is the fan favorite version.

Grenadier Destro: OK seller

Crimson Guard: Pretty decent seller; more so than the other "army builder" figures

Snow Job: Very Nice Seller; Pick one or two up if you get the chance...

Sgt. Flash: Not the best seller, because not that many people who don't know the 1982 Joes remember him, b/c that was the only time he was made in this version...

Wave Six:

Cobra Commander (armor) Good Seller

Rock 'n Roll: Great seller according to the price guides...

Lt. Torpedo: Nice Seller; definitely better than his original some people seem to think...

Wave Seven:

Wild Bill: Good Seller

H.I.S.S. Driver: With the vehicles coming out soon, it's almost a natural to pick up this guy to go along with your H.I.S.S. Good selling potential

Viper: Not a good seller, because you can get him in wave 7 and 8, which each are the same one, just the cards are different.  But, if you are a completist, then you must get one of each style...

Spirit: A popular figure so far and seems to be HTF in stores.

Snake Eyes: Popular in the pre-sells and so far is selling decent! WATCH THIS ONE...

Duke (jetpack): If you have the wave 4 one, then this one isn't really necessary, but if jetpacks are your thing, then you can't go wrong! OK Selling potential

Wave Eight:

Major Bludd: One of, if not the hottest non-exclusive Joe out right now.  His delay from wave 7 to wave 8 caused an early frenzy for him, and he seems to not pop up on shelves that often in the early going of wave 8's release.  BEST SELLING POTENTIAL SO FAR!

Baroness: The only way to get her without buying the 5 pack, so that makes her a great early seller!

Snake Eyes (parka): Every Snake Eyes is a Great seller, and this one is no different.  Watch this one too; one word: HOT!

Tiger Force Flint: A Great seller, like his wave one counterpart.  I'd say that once he is released again in the "best of" series, the original will see a "slight" value drop, while this one keeps most of its value.  Watch your Flint markets VERY CLOSELY...

Cobra Commander: This one is a must have for fans of the cartoon style commander.  But other than that, sells about the same as the others.

Roadblock: His "city assault" attire is pretty cool, but isn't like the wave 4 one.  Decent selling potential.

Viper: SEE WAVE 7 DESCRIP.

Python Patrol Officer: Decent

Multi Packs

Cobra: Good Seller, better than Joe because of Baroness...

G.I. Joe: Bad Seller, since all of 'em were remade in wave four...

Cobra Legions: Good Seller

Any of the "Comic Packs" are good buys because you have to have the proofs in order to get your "Doc" figure.  Watch the MOC value of these years down the road, because most of them will have been opened so people could get the seals to send away for Doc...

Four words: BUY TARGET EXCLUSIVE VEHICLES! The H.I.S.S. tank, A.W.E. Striker and Night Specter are RED HOT right now, and they'll get even hotter because let me tell you a little secret... They are NO LONGER being produced, so what's out there is what's "out there"...

Toys R Us exclusives are still findable at your local 'R Us store, so there shouldn't really be a rush to get 'em at secondary market prices right now, but once production ceases however, then you would have no choice but to get them this way.  The Crimson Guard Senior Ranking Officer set is a different story, though.  Buy THEM when you can...
