You don't have to be in free of your life from opening up eBay messages. For whatever reason scam operators like to target members. Alot of times these are sellers who have expensive merchandise for sale like designer or couture purses, diamonds but even unsuspecting small items can make both buyers & sellers targets to be victims of email phishing scams. This is a easy way to help in detecting whether email sent to you in the "Message from eBay Member" email messages. If you get a message like that and you are not sure about it you can match it up by looking in your eBay My Messages section. If the email from the user is not listed there. That means some is trying to get you to open that e-mail up otherwise called phishing email scams! Another way to verify, is send an email message to yourself. What does that do? Well these phish emails they actually set it so the email will stay at the top of your inbox. What a shady tactic, huh? If you send an email to yourself and you see it falls below the potential scam email... that means they were very intentional in their email scripting. Then you just delete it, OK? It is not worth it to open it up and send in a spam complaint. You don't want to take the chance. Anyways, I hope this helps you some. From your friend,
xoxo
