PET LOVERS EVERY WHERE NEED TO BE AWARE AND BEWARE!
YOU MAY NOT BE GETTING WHAT YOU THINK!
Some of the items up for sale on eBay can actually be HARMFUL or DEADLY to your beloved pets!
When shopping for any flea and/or tick control for your pets, MAKE sure that the seller is offering you product that has been purchased in the United States from a licensed Veterinarian. For instance, Merial, the manufacturer of Frontline products, have items manufactured in either France or the U.S. These boxes all have EPA numbers, and lot numbers. The lot numbers should match the application tubes in the box! So many eBay sellers are offering products that have been purchased overseas, or where ever, and are NOT regulated by the U.S.standards.
These medications might not have been stored properly, could be counterfeit, possibly bought on the black market, or maybe be an incorrect dosage, and much more! This will result in a animal that gets critically ill or can even die! It is not worth paying a few dollars less to risk your pets health!
Ask the seller where the product is manufactured, if there are EPA numbers and lot numbers on the boxes that match the application tubes inside. Frontline, by Merial, and Advantage, by Bayer Animal Health Division, do not have expiration dates on their products so don't be fooled be sellers giving expiration dates and do not buy from sellers who are not shipping and residing in the United States!
If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
If you have any questions or concerns about these products, contact the manufacturers directly. They may tell you not to buy online and purchase these from your Veterinarian BUT if you do find a reputable seller, like myself, (lilltle_tracy) it is safe to purchase. I have the phone numbers for you below:
Merial for Frontline is (800) 660-1842
Bayer for Advantage is (800) 255-6826
