Greetings fellow eBayers! I'd like to offer a few more security tips and insights while you are a tourist on vacation in a hotel.
Here's something else that should be taken into consideration. In addition to people who may possibly be in your hotel that are pretending to be employee's, and ask to enter your room. Or catch a ride up in the guest elevator after you've just swiped your keycard through the security device in the elevator.
Sometimes these low-life's will actually scrape up the money, and check-in for a night or two. Now, this person has an official reason for being in the hotel. So no matter how suspicious this person looks, and acts wondering around near other rooms, hotel security can say nothing because he's just a guest that is "lost".
The action takes place presumably at night, when this person will climb from one lanai to the next, going into as much rooms as possible. Definetely remember to lock your lanai door when not in the room. Not being able to get in fast enough will probably send him over the railing to try your neighbors.
Be cautious of a stranger(s) who may be trying a little too hard to befriend you while on vacation. Never give out your room number, length of stay, and most importantly, your last name to anyone. But why, and what could they do, right? Well, they could have a blast in the hotel. For starters, visit the fanciest restaurant, and order the most expensive dinner. Patronize any other outlets in the hotel with services, or entertainment, and have it all. Their favorite line of the night will be, "can you charge it to my room?".
Thanks again,
