Addtions to teams are called free agents. A free agent in the NFL world could either make your team an elite contender for the superbowl, or just be a ear full just like Terrell Owens. There are big names in today's free agents. You wonder why a team would give up a player of that magnitude, or why release him? We are giving away some tips for your fantasy football team for next season, or just information and my 2 cents.
Here are the big names on the free agent block
Eric Moulds- He decided that he would NOT restructure his deal for the Buffalo bills. A 10 year veteran with that team he decides not to. He wants big money, and being a great WR he deserves it. Where would be an excellent fit for moulds? Here are the top three teams that sure need a good WR and Moulds would fit in perfectly.
1. Philidelphia Eagles-After the TO shananagans they need a #1 Wr, Reggie Brown is an emerging star but needs time to fit the mould. RB is a solid #2 WR on the team. With Eric Moulds they should be great contenders again.
Stats Projected-90 Receptions-1035 yards-8 TDS
2. Clevland Browns-They have Braylon Edwards, but who is next in line. Its clear to state that the browns dont want Antonio bryant so the browns would be a good fit. Braylon as the #2 WR, and Eric Moulds as the #1 WR it should be interesting...the only thing i worry about is the QB situation...Trent Dilfer is old and needs to hang it up, Charlie Fyre really hasnt proven anything yet...
Stats Projected- 75 Recepctions -786 yards -3 TDS
3. New England Patriots-with David Givens in free agency himself who is a #1 WR? ERIC MOULDS! Tom brady and EM should hook up for plenty of times next season! I would say either eagles or patriots Eric moulds stats should be a good thing.
Stats Projected- 92 Recpections -984 yards-5 tds
Joe Juervicus-The seahawks have shown interest in resigning the former Tampa bay bucs fan, but also other teams have shown interest. again the Browns want joe, and so do the patriots. I do believe that the seahawks will make a "fair" deal with Joe, he deserves it. He played extremely well when the #1 and #2 receivers went down with injuries. RESIGN HIM!!!
RB
Shaun Alexander-the 2006 MVP should be resigned as well. Nothing is really opened in the Running back free agency, no one is really interested but these are my guesses who likes the Bruiser Shaun alexander.
1. Cleveland Browns-who is the clear running back of this team? Lee Suggs was hurt all last season and hasnt really dont anything. Ruben Drougens? Hes decent but not great, shaun alexander could be a huge piece of the puzzle with his running abilities, but would he want to play there? well see...
Projected states-400 rush attemps (whos passing the football?)-1234 yards -11 TDS
2. Arizona Cardinals-Jeez where do I start? its terrible that Marcell Ship and JJ Arington cannot get it done at all. This is the team that came in last in rushing yards this season. they need a decent running back at the helm, that could distract a team to focus on the rush, then the QB could let couple passes rip to the 2 star wr.
Stats projected-325 rush attemps -1435 yards 14 tds
Edgerrin "edge" james-This guy should be resigned by the colts. I dont see why the colts are not doing so. Hes clearly the better RB on the team....but oh well, big money? does he want more money or does he know that Peyton manning will NEVEr win a super bowl like dan marino? who knows. here are the suitors for the edge
1. Minnesota Vikings-Michael bennet is clearly out of minnesota. Onterrio smith cannot stop peeing on people and that he loves his drugs more than football. After that we have ciatrik fason who rarely played at all this season. To get the Vikings back on top they need a SOLID running game and the edge provides that.
Stats-333 rush attemps-1653 yards 16 tds
