This is a simple guide of tips for adding FREE photos to your auctions~ for ebay sellers. And some basic HTML.

The more pictures you have, the more likely you will sell your item. You do not have to pay ebay 15 cents per extra picture.

Get you first picture free through ebay and then use photobucket ( dot com) to host your other photos for FREE. It is simple to do, and photobucket has a tutorial to help you. But basically, this is how it works:

Sign up for an account at photobucket, upload the photos you want to use to their website. (from pictures you have uploaded to you computer from your digital camera)

Then when doing your auction description, use the USE YOUR OWN HTML feature for the description. You can search the net for simple HTML codes you might need. Simply write your item description out, when you are done, put a <p> for paragraph and then use this HTML code tag for your pictures:

 <img src=             >

NOW, when you uploaded your picture to photobucket, it assigns that photo some codes, use the one that says URL LINK put this code in the tag above I just gave you, it goes between  the = and >

It will look something like this:

<img src=http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j163/iriscottage1/IMG_2241.jpg>

Add as many as you like this way. Below is a step by step of what you will need to do and it's EASY!

1. Log into your Photobucket account

2.  Find an image in your Photobucket account that you would like to link to your eBay auction 'Description' field. Highlight the check-box that is directly below the thumbnail image.

Note: You can select more than one image this way to generate multiple codes at once.

3.Click on the 'Generate HTML & IMG Code' button at the bottom of your Photobucket album.

4. Left click in the 'HTML clickable thumbnails...' or 'HTML images...' field to copy the appropriate code. Using these codes will allow your images to be in compliance with eBay's guidelines.

Note: Click on the preview button to see how the image will appear after it has been linked to eBay.

5. Open up a new browser tab (or browser window) and sign into your eBay account. Set an auction up to sell your item, and fill out all appropriate fields. Locate the 'Description' field and click on the 'HTML' link that is next to the 'Standard' tab.

6.Paste the code from your Photobucket image into the 'HTML' field. You may need to hit 'control C' and then  'Ctrl+v' (Apple+v on Mac) on your keyboard to do this.

7.Complete any additional information that is required in order to sell your item. Your image will now display in your auction.

Some basic HTML for your auction:

Okay, it's time to start making our text appear in different ways. Let's start by giving you some tags to work with:

<B></B>   This is the tag for bold text.
Example:
<B>Howdy</B>
This will show up on your page like this:
Howdy

Here are a few more to start working with:

<U></U> Underline text
<U>Underline Me!</U>
Underline Me!

<I></I> Italics
<I>Isn't this fun?</I>
Isn't this fun?

<STRIKE></STRIKE>
<STRIKE>You're Out!</STRIKE>
You're Out!

<CENTER></CENTER>
<CENTER>This centers text on the page</CENTER>

This centers text on the page

More HTL tips:

<p> Starts a new paragraph, making your auction easier to read.

<br> Line Break

<font color=red> Insert the color of choice or use a color code number which can be found on net search

<font size=5> for a larger font letter size

Other tips:

ALWAYS use a Gallery photo. If you don't, your auction will likely be overlooked.

Consider using an auction template. It requires some easy basic HTML and copy and pasting but will get more bids and money for your items. Search ebay for template and see whats available. It's the best money I have spent.

Take the time to do a good item description.

Hope this helps.
