Save MONEY on packing materials!
Shred your junkmail - great for hard and soft pack mailers in addtion to boxes. Just be kind to your customer and place there goods into a bag of sorts to keep the shreds separated. Remember to also insert a note and ask them for return business, if you don't ask, they may never come back!
Bubble Wrap/Peanuts - I found that any store that sells furniture will have bubble wrap and peanuts. They are only going to throw it away so make friends, offer them a garbage back or a box to put your bubble wrap in and then schedule the best time to come in and pick up what they've saved for you. FAST, EASY, & Virtually FREE
USPS / Post Office - They offer online free supplies and will even deliver them to your door! What a deal. From priority mail tape, envelopes, boxes and even a plastic mail carrier, they are happy to deliver if you don't want to go in yourself. Now they may charge like $1.00 however, I think we can already see it is worth it!
Boxes - You can get free boxes from your local grociery and department stores. Most of the time you need to go in the morning around 7am when they are stocking or later in the evening. I'd call or simply ask the next time your in. Don't be afraid to say, I would especially like diaper boxes for my goods, what day and time is best to pick up diaper boxes. You get the point, and they will tell you since it will releive them of labor, compacting, and the cost for compacted boxes to be hauled off.
Plastic & Paper Bags - Other than using Walmart bags for your small household garbage bags, don't be afraid to watertight your auctions. Just be sure to remove any receipts...LOL! Paper bags are especially good to wrap your priority mail boxes and make them appear to be plain postal boxes. I don't think that's against the rules if you are recycling a box you've received to reship using there services...at least I hope not because I've done it and have had success.
