Double A ( AA ) or Triple A (AAA) batteries that no longer have the power to operate your digital camera can often still operate  TV / DVD / VCR / STEREO  remote controls, often for several months.........    the batteries that would no longer operate my digital camera have been working in my tv remote for 11 months now.       Batteries rejected by digital cameras seem to work very well in mini-mag flashlights for a long time also.
