Fort Minor Live Fillmore San Francisco February 21st

The day had arrived February 21st, 2006 for when Fort Minor would take over the Fillmore in San Francisco.  The show began at 8pm with openning act Flipsyde.  Flipsyde hails from Oakland and mixes hip hop with world issues and great guitar playing.  Their song Someday has been chosen as the theme song for the 2006 WINTER OLYMPICS.  Another great song of their's is U.S. History which walks the listener through the History of the World through Britian's eyes.  Sample lyrics are below:

Hustlin's in my blood my father's name is Britain
His history consisted of robbery killin' and pimpin
Filthy rich and the biggest killer that you ever seen
Once I'm older I'm takin' over ima be king
I was locked up in jail when he got the new land
Opened his cells I guess that's how the story began

After Flipsyde tore the place apart in walked Mike Relm .  Mike took the stage and made it his playground using two turntables and a video screen to entertain the crowd for 15 minutes.  He scratched beats and mixed fight club video with break beats.  As he scratched the video would stutter in rhythum.  The performance was incredible.

Then walked in Fort Minor.  Ryu, Tak, Cheapshot and Mike Shinoda (Lead MC for Linkin Park).  The setlist was as follows

01 - Remember The Name
02 - It's Goin' Down
03 - Dolla
04 - Enth E Nd
05 - In Stereo
06 - SOB Medley 1
07 - SOB Medley 2
08 - Where'd You Go (feat. Holly Brook) [pt. 1]
09 - Where'd You Go (feat. Holly Brook) [pt. 2]
10 - Feel Like Home
11 - Red To Black
12 - Beatdown drum solo
13 - Believe Me (feat. Eric Bobo)
14 - Encore Break
15 - Numb/Encore
16 - There They Go (feat. Eric Bobo)
17 - High Road
18 - Petrified

Overall the show was great.  The string section played Remember the Name perfectly and nobody even missed not having John Legend sing the hook on High Road.  The crowd was a sellout and responded well to material I dont think they knew.  Me being a Fort Minor freak I bought the great Mixtape We Major on eBay which has 22 great Fort Minor tracks.

Do yourself a favor and go out and buy Fort Minor's The Rising Tied
