Dear Juicy friends,

As an avid Juicy lover, I am getting FED UP with the excessive amount of FAKE Juicy Couture that people are trying to pass off as real on eBay! After looking at countless cheap and cheesy knockoffs, I thought to myself, "What Would Juicy Do?" and realized, I have to help these poor souls scammed into buying this junk! So here are a few (hopefully) helpful tips, so maybe you can walk away (or surf away) from this guide a little better informed!

Things to keep in mind:

• Juicy Couture NEVER packages ANY of their bags in plastic wrapping of any kind. If you see a Juicy bag listed with clear plastic around the handles, STEER CLEAR! This is very commonly seen in knock-off bags.
  
• Juicy Couture gold hardware is NEVER shiny. Juicy hardware is a "brushed" looking gold. Knock-off bags usually have shiny, gold hardware.
  
• When Juicy makes a leather bag, they make it out of leather. No exceptions. Juicy leather is very thick, soft, and supple. It should look thick and puffy, it is never shiny, thin, or cheap looking. AND Juicy stitching is very thick, and is never messy or crooked.
  
• The inside tag on ALL Juicy bags is HOT pink. This DOES NOT vary.
  
• All Juicy Couture "hearts" always look the same, whether it be the shape of a mirror, or the shape of the heart sewn onto the back of a bag; they are very defined hearts, and the point always forms a clear "V".
  
• The short-and-sweet: Juicy Couture does not wholesale to Joe Shmoe. Unless you are Nordstrom or Saks, etc. you did not get a Juicy bag wholesale. If the bag is coming from China, Hong Kong, etc. STAY AWAY. It is most likely a $5 bag being passed off as a $195 bag. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Go with your gut instinct. And last but not least: Always ask questions! Any seller hesitant to answer questions is shady, and you should shop around for other bags.

Notice the heart shapes. The one on top is obviously fake; the leather is plasticky, and the shape is fat and sloppy. The heart on the bottom is the real Juicy. This shape does not vary.

THIS is how Juicy stitching should look. This is also a good example of the "thick and puffiness" of real Juicy leather.

Bag no.1, oh my, what a mess we have here. Besides the fact that Juicy Couture has never come out with a bag even faintly resembling this, look at the cheap, shiny hardware. Now, look at the picture below, THIS is the finish authentic Juicy hardware should have.

My goodness. God bless the poor soul who's conned into buying this. We have a couple problems going on here. Firstly, this is not a design Juicy Couture has ever manufactured. Secondly, Juicy doen't use plastic to package anything. Stay away from bags like this one.
